How it works
You’re a full-time JLR employee, splitting your time between work and your college or university, with at least 6 hours a week of study. Learning is usually a mix of in person, online and studying on your own. JLR pays your tuition and course fees, so studying costs you nothing. Degree programmes include university modules, and you need to pass each one to get both the degree and the apprenticeship.
Support and perks
JLR lists structured learning, mentoring and coaching, a cohort leader and line manager, and sometimes a current apprentice as your buddy. Perks include a pension with employer contributions, hybrid working in many roles, holiday including a company-wide Christmas shutdown, and discounts on JLR vehicles.
What they do
JLR designs and builds Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. Its careers site lists Early Careers apprenticeships based at JLR sites, with a free shuttle bus to the Whitley and Gaydon locations. Dealership apprenticeships are recruited separately by JLR's retail network.
